Terms and Conditions for the Arts Award study
1.1: “Our”, “We”, “Us” refers to the advisor of the business of Nicki Reg.
1.2: “You”, “Your” refers to the person/parent/legal guardian of the Young Person taking part in the Arts Award.
1.3 "Young Person" is the person taking part in the Arts Award.
2.1 The Arts Award are a range of unique qualifications that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form - from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry. Through progressing through the five levels, young people get to:
discover the enjoyment of creating and participating in arts activities
experience arts events
develop creative and communication skills that are essential for success in 21st century life
explore the work of artists and craftspeople and gain insights into the professional arts world
gain experience and knowledge to help progress into further education and employment
2.2 There are no entry requirements, no time limit for completing the award, and no set rules on how to present final work.
2.3 Through Arts Award training by Trinity College London, we are qualified to teach and assess the following awards:
Discover
Explore
Bronze
Silver
Gold
2.4 The Explore, Bronze and Silver Arts Award are regulated qualifications:
Explore – Entry Level Award in the Arts (Entry 3)
Bronze – Level 1 Award in the Arts
Silver – Level 2 Award in the Arts
Gold - Level 3 Award in the Arts
2.5 The Discover Arts Award is not a regulated qualification but is certificated by Trinity College London.
2.6 To undertake the Arts Award, the Young Person must be the following ages:
Discover - Open to anyone aged 25 and under (designed for ages 5 to 9, particularly for Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2)
Explore - Open to anyone aged 25 and under (designed for ages 7 to 11, particularly for upper Key Stage 2)
Bronze - Open to anyone aged 11 to 25 years (designed for ages 11 to 14)
Silver - Open to anyone aged 11 to 25 years (designed for ages 14 to 16)
Gold - Open to anyone aged 11 to 25 years (designed for ages 16 and above
3.1 You will pay the standard fee as shown on www.nickiregart.co.uk under pricing and following the Terms and Conditions - 3.0 charges section regarding costings and payment. This can be subject to price increases in the future. We will notify You if any prices increase giving a months notice.
3.2: You will pay for paper certificate (Discover) and paper certificate(s) and moderation (Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold) for Your Young Person. This is invoiced by Us. The current fees (September 2024-January 2026) are as follows:
Discover - £4.75
Explore - £16.30
Bronze - £27.50
Silver - £37.50
Gold - £55.50

3.3: You will pay per hour for any extra work that You require extra for Us on top of the set lessons, such as watching pre-recorded videos of teaching skills to others, which weren’t undertaken in front of Us or extra lessons or workshops booked above the set pre-booked lessons. This is not an exhaustive list and will need to be discussed with Us.
4.1: You:
Will support the Young Person by taking them to an event, gallery or exhibition if the Young Person is taking Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold Arts Awards.
Will not complete work for the Young Person in the arts log / art portfolio.
Will not take over the role of Us, as We won't have the knowledge and understanding of what the Young Person has fully achieved regarding the assessment criteria set. We will not assess the work if this happens. No qualification will be given.
Will be willing to pay for guided lessons (led by Us). The total number of hours (as stated in the Advisors Toolkit) depends on the Arts Award undertaken. Estimates are as follows:
Discover – 20 hours learning hours (recommend but it is not a regulated qualification but is certificated by Trinity College London)
Explore – 25 hours guided
Bronze – 40 hours guided
Silver – 60 hours guided
Gold - 90 hours guided
Will support the young person to complete independent work at home. The estimates are as follows:
Explore – 10 hours independent
Bronze – 20 hours independent
Silver – 35 hours independent
Gold - 60 hours independent
Will pay per hour for any extra work for Us on top of the set lessons, such as watching pre-recorded videos of teaching skills to others, which weren’t undertaken in front of Us or extra lessons or workshops booked above the set pre-booked lessons. This is not an exhaustive list and will need to be discussed with Us prior to part taking in any awards.
Will support the Young Person to look after their arts log / arts portfolio and bring it to all lessons.
Will give permission for your Young Person's art log / portfolio to be sent to Trinity College London for moderation. If not, then no certificates or qualification can be issued.
Will pay for certificate(s) for their child. This is invoiced by Us. See charges 3:0
Can stop the Art Awards being undertaken at any point, but understand that uncompleted work cannot be assessed or moderated. No certificates can be issued or qualifications be awarded.
5.1: We:
Will recruit young people.
Will plan the Arts Award programme to meet the individual needs of the Young Person.
Will support the Young Person to produce their art log / portfolio in any format, including digital.
Will follow the updated Advisors Toolkit for all teaching and assessment.
Will support, teach, monitor, discuss, advise, guide, facilitate and agree with aspects of each Part in the Arts Award according to the Advisors Toolkit.
Will explain what evidence is needed for assessment.
Will offer peer review, feedback and exchange.
Will help young people to set challenging but achievable targets.
Will not complete work for the Young Person in the arts log / art portfolio.
Will write a formal individual assessment for each Young Person for Trinity College London.
Will book and send the Young Person’s work for moderation.
Will set independent tasks for the Young Person to complete.
Will write witness statements, if necessary, which are dated and named by Us.
With permission from You, take photographs, voice recordings and video evidence which will be included in the Young Person’s art log / portfolio, which is sent to Trinity College London as part of the Young Person’s evidence for assessment and moderation.
Will assess the Young Person’s work according to the assessment criteria set in the Advisors Toolkit.
6.1 The Young Person:
Will take part in guided (led by Us) and independent study towards the Arts Award. The total number of hours depends on the Arts Award untaken. Estimates are as follows:
Discover – 20 hours learning hours (recommend but it is not a regulated qualification but is certificated by Trinity College London)
Explore – 25 hours guided and 10 independent learning hours
Bronze – 25 hours guided and 10 independent learning hours
Silver - 60 hours guided and 35 independent learning hours
Gold - 90 hours guided and 60 independent learning hours
Will look after their arts log / arts portfolio and bring it to all lessons.
Will undertake independent tasks outlined by Us.
Will order their work in sections according to the Advisors Toolkit. Work in the incorrect section will not be marked.
Will complete all work themselves and not by other people. This will be monitored by Us and evidenced through a signature on the assessment sheet which is sent to Trinity College London.
Will demonstrate criteria to their advisor that is outlined in the Advisors Toolkit.
Will provide evidence that is required in their portfolio that is outlined in the Advisors Toolkit.
Will write in legible handwriting that can be read by Us and those moderating.
7.1: For information about how We might collect and use the information You give Us, the conditions under which We may disclose it to others, how we keep it secure and Your legal rights in relation to any personal information we hold, please refer to Our Privacy Policy.
7.2: Any child details, adult details, booking forms and care plans will be destroyed due to GDPR law after 6 months of Your / Your child’s last lesson, unless specified by the adult, parents or legal guardian.
7.3: The Young Persons details will be passed on to Trinity College London including full name, date of birth, ethnicity, parents email and arts log / portfolio which can include photographs, voice recordings and video.
